                 Snapshot

I was born in black and white, a measured click, a flash of light.

a captured soul in a single frame, no color given.....just a name.

my palette forged with the passage of time..... deep and intense, pale and sublime.

my success and my sorrow each have a hue.  look at me now, my colors are true.

the image is framed, it passes for life.  a daughter, a mother, a sister a wife.

but colors will fade like day into night. and I’ll leave as I came....in black and white.
